Originally trained as a photographer and fine artist, she found herself constantly being requested to do makeup on her subjects for her edgy environmental portraits. Her quest for excellence in her art led her to attend one the most respected cosmetic arts schools and to later teach there.

With over 15 years experience in print, commercials, award winning films and television shows, she brings a unique perspective to the makeup industry. Her ongoing relationship with HBO has resulted in 4 successful and challenging seasons on "The Wire" using makeup and special makeup effects to design hauntingly believable characters living with drug addiction and violence.
